Geocubes

Etna-Geocube is a project gathering ING, KYLIA, ENS and INGV-OE

The objective is to validate on Etna the concept of Geocubes, i.e. low cost and low power consumption GPS array for the near real time monitoring of ground deformations.

Etna is a interesting target for several reasons:

• science application
• potential use of the array for hazard assessment
• validation of the equipment in a difficult experimental context

A first campaign has been organized in July 2016 and a network of five Geocubes deployedP
